U4N.com Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Notice & Takedown Policy

U4N.com (the "Site") operates as a "Service Provider" under the definition provided in 17 U.S.C. § 512(k) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), and we are therefore entitled to the DMCA's "safe harbor" protections. We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. In accordance with the DMCA, we have implemented the following Notice and Takedown Policy for handling copyright infringement claims related to content hosted on our Site.

1. Notification of Claimed Infringement

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used on U4N.com in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please submit a written DMCA takedown notice containing the following information:

(a) Your physical or electronic signature;
(b) Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
(c) Description of where the allegedly infringing material is located on our Site (including the specific URL);
(d) Your full name, address, telephone number, and email address;
(e) A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
(f) A statement under penalty of perjury that the information provided is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

Important: Submitting a false or misleading DMCA notice may result in legal liability under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), including court costs and attorney's fees.

2. Takedown Procedure

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, U4N will take the following steps:

Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content;
Notify the user who uploaded the content;
Provide the user with a copy of the DMCA notice and instructions on how to file a counter-notification.

If your notice is incomplete or invalid under the DMCA, we may request additional information before proceeding.

3. Counter Notification

If you believe your content was mistakenly removed or disabled, you may file a counter notification. Your counter notice must include:

(a) Your physical or electronic signature;
(b) Identification of the removed or disabled material and the location where it appeared before it was removed;
(c) A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification;
(d) Your name, address, telephone number, and email address;
(e) A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court in your area (or in any U.S. jurisdiction where U4N does business if you reside outside the U.S.) and will accept service of process from the complaining party.

Once a proper counter notification is received, U4N will:

Forward the counter notice to the original complaining party;
Notify both parties that the removed content may be restored in 10 to 14 business days unless the original claimant seeks a court order to prevent restoration;
Restore the material, provided no legal action has been initiated within the waiting period.

Note: U4N cannot assess the legal merits of copyright claims. All content removals and restorations follow the DMCA procedure outlined above.

4. Repeat Infringer Policy

U4N maintains a strict policy for repeat infringers. Users who receive multiple valid takedown notices or engage in repeated violations of intellectual property rights may have their accounts permanently suspended and/or banned from posting further content.
